Atlas Ruling — Audit Delegation Model + Post-S40 Audit Scope¶
New Working Rule¶
Vesper owns audit preparation, comparison framing, and first-pass classification.
Orion is reserved for exact engineering verification, difficult code-path truth, and implementation.
Atlas remains architecture, sequencing, and final rulings.
Effective Division of Labor¶
Vesper owns: - Post-S40 audit package assembly - Flag timeline from S40 forward - Session comparison summary - Guard-interaction matrix - Symptom map - First-pass list of likely: necessary safeguards, miswired interactions, cumulative overconstraints, unclear areas requiring Orion confirmation - Routing and prioritization of engineering questions
Orion owns: - Option A immediate containment fix - Exact code-path verification - Confirmation of specific mechanical interactions - Technical answer to narrow audit questions - Implementation recommendations - Code changes and test coverage
Atlas owns: - Architecture interpretation - Overconstraint vs protection classification - Patch-forward vs simplify vs selective rollback decision - Final sequencing and rulings
Immediate Application — Post-S40 Audit Workflow¶
Step 1 — Orion: Implement the immediate containment fix for drift C through ANCHOR_IDLE. Support one short validation run.
Step 2 — Vesper: Prepare the full post-S40 audit package including: 1. Post-S40 change ledger (every merged flag/branch after S40, what each changed, what problem it solved) 2. Behavior comparison (S40 baseline vs current, where the operational difference appears) 3. Guard interaction map (anchor, drift A/B/C, corridor, DEGRADED, ANCHOR_IDLE, cooldown, episode counting) 4. Candidate issue list — each item classified as: likely necessary / likely sound but miswired / likely overconstraining / unclear/Orion confirmation required 5. Targeted engineering questions only — Orion receives specific questions, not the entire reconstruction burden
Step 3 — Orion: Answer only the targeted engineering questions inside the audit package.
Step 4 — Atlas: Review the assembled package and make the executive architectural call.
Permanent Resource Rule¶
If the task is organizational, comparative, synthesis-heavy, or audit-prep:
→ Vesper
If the task is code-exact, implementation-heavy, or mechanically precise:
→ Orion
If the task is a decision on architecture, scope, sequencing, or system philosophy:
→ Atlas
